S Waugh knows guitar amps. As a player on the Houston music scene in the late sixties through the mid-70's, he learned guitar amp tone in the real world - on stage. Raising a family took priority over rock n' roll in the 80's and Mr S bowed out as a fulltime musician. In the 1990's, unable to find suitable vintage amp repair work reignited his passion for outstanding amplifier tone and he set out to find what it was in vacuum tube circuits that made the magic happen. And today that passion is the heart and soul of S Waugh Amplifiers - no bells, no whistles and no b.s. - simply uncompromising tone from meticulously crafted circuits for players that know great guitar tone when they hear it. A two channel preamp gives this small combo great versatility. The 6-postion rotary switch on the first channel dials in those clear chiming tones of the British pop invasion. The 12AX7 top boost circuit in channel 2 delivers all the stinging sustain you need with volume,tone and cut controls to tame it to your liking. Externally adjustable bias control dials in that sweet spot easily. Mercy!

A blues player's dream. Based on the 5E3 circuit with two additional 6V6 power tubes, this amp delivers small amp tube distortion at big sound levels. An extra preamp tube allows each channel to run paralleled gain stages for richer harmonics. Cathode or fixed bias switches between a fat, compressed tweed tone to a tighter blackface sound.

A single channel 5F6A circuit atop a pair of Weber 10's serves as drivetrain for a duet 6L6 or EL34 power plant - sweet! Sounds glorious straight up with your guitar and a cord but this little hustler loves pedals pushing the front end as well. Great club amp with that cranked sound at a good solid volume.
